I'm blogging, I'm blogging!

Hello,

Welcome to our (my-Ruby's) blog! I actually set up the account a while back ago, but I have NOW decided to actually post things. . .I never said I was quick. Frankly I'm struggling with the idea of becoming a blogger even though I love to visit other friends' blog spots regularly and here are the reasons why (I like lists):

1. Deep down I guess I believe I am infinitely more interested in other people's lives than they will be in mine, but hear I go!

2. I'm a bit apprehensive that there will be "pressure" to post. Not necessarily by visitors (see reason 1) but by myself. I know how I get excited to go visit a friend's site and the little sadness I feel when they haven't posted something new. . .I'm not good at feeling like I'm letting people down. But I'm going to try it anyway-what the heck-forgive me now for infrequent posts if that turns out to be the case!

3. I'm super indecisive-so just picking the template for this took awhile.

4. Last reason I've not posted before (I guess these are all like disclaimers to you as a visitor)-I'm not an overly creative person so I'm afraid my blog might be a bit "lame" compared to others. Don't expect big changes to the site or really cool (or even semi-cool) details.

Now the reasons I've decided TO BLOG:

1. To stay in touch with friends-communication is a two way street that I love traveling and I want to share my thoughts with my friends and hope to hear from them.

2. To start a "journal" of sorts for family memories-my memory is not what it used to be! It breaks my heart to not be able to remember more things specifically from Journey's time as a baby-I cherish the video and pictures I have, but I know writing about pics and happenings from now on will make these memories more vivid later!

3. To do something new that I'm not necessarily comfortable with. Besides being indecisive, I can get in a rut/groove and happily stay there for years (which can make the years pass by very quickly leaving a person with very little to distinguish one year from the next). So in trying to. . .we'll say. . . "mix it up" I will blog darn it!! This is me. . .being adventurous. . . I know it's sad.

So with ALL that being said-here's to BLOGGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
